Thanks.. keep on pickin
Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Thank You. I think you should cover Elvis.
You guys are on to something here... Enjoy your music, please keep it rolling! Excited about your Ozzy project and hope you all do more rock tributes! Fade to Black is awesome!
You guys are amazing! I love how you find a way to make each song unique, and stay true to the heart of the song. I'm also from Alabama, and it's nice to see local talent getting to shine. Keep up the good work, and God bless.
I have been a Metalica fan for over 20 years (since 1983) and a friend of mine gave me 'Fade to Bluegrass' as a "gag" gift... it rocks! You guys are truly gifted musicians.
Keep on Pickin'
Glad to see the Ozzy/Sabbath (and LZ) tributes!! FTBG is great, and these will be welcome additions to my collection!
Need to get you guy to play VT!!
cheers
Fantastic job fellas! I started with your tribute to Metallica, not knowing if I even would like bluegrass...loved your renditions of this band. I just got your tribute to Ozzie and it sure is fun to listen to these old songs that I already like in a different format. I respectfully request for you to look into covering some other bands in your unique bluegrass style. Wouldn't it be great to have a "rockers" album comprised of one or two songs from each of the following bands: Tesla, Ratt, Dokken, Guns n Roses, Rush, Great White, White Lion, and maybe Motley Crue, Van Halen, or Kiss? Personally I would love to hear complete tributes to most of these, but it would be fun to have a taste all on one album. Forge on my pickin' brothers!
Ok i jsut got the picking on modest mouse cd today and i don't know who was doing the cover and song list or what they were smoking but its pretty messed up. THe songs are not in the order that it says on the back. On top of that the store here in Hinton ALberta charged me 28.99 plus tax! Good thing i'm a fool with money otherwise .... well would be pretty crancky if i didn't get the disc but i'm not happy about the price. no wonder people steel music from the net and everywhere else possible. Maybe the solution to the problem is not to bann sites like napster but to make cut throat distribution compannys charge less and then music might be affordable to poor students like myself.
Anyways glad to add your cd to my collection great take on an awsome band.
Hey, this is that 16 year old kid that recominded you guys to the welding instructor at my school. at first i didnt want to belive that the ozzy man let people do this to his music...MAkE IT BETTER!!! its just the pure sound of southern instrmunts that makes you feel good when you listen to it. great job guys.

You guys are AWESOME! I've already turned 2 of my friends onto your Fade To Bluegrass C.D.! I can't wait to hear Black and Bluegrass!
I looked at your tour dates and was disappointed to see that you don't have anything scheduled up in the Midwest, especially Wisconsin. It appears you already turned the south on to your music, now you need to turn the Midwests ear to your KICK-A$$ musical talents!
P.S. If you wish to contact me, omit the "7" in my e-mail address.
Just picked up Whole Lotta Bluegrass and had to look you guys up - simply an excellent tribute album, nice tight playing and singing - I really like the arrangements
great job!!

Ya'll be carefull you'll go to hell!!
I am a welding Instructor at a SOUTH east Tennessee Technology High School and a TRADITIONAL BULEGRASS picker for 28 years. " I am 50 years old" In the early years I wanted to be like Sam Bush, but the more I learned about the music the more I went back to the roots. "Flat & Scruggs cranks my handle"!!! Know what I mean. I have played the same school houses the boys have played in the 50's. I learned guitar at the age of 10, played rock& roll till I got turned on to real music in the late 70's. Payed my dues and played all over Gods country "The South". We could have crossed strings somewere. Anyway, this 15 year old kid comes into my class and said: Hey Dude I've got this bulegrass Tribute to Ossie Osborne! I said: Watch out boy you'll go to hell!!! You can't use Bluegrass and Ozzie in the same sentence! There is no "F"in bluegrass!!! He said: Dude stick it in the puter and listen.. I said: NO I don't want to go to HELL!!!
You guys are ture pickers. It was great!!! I can understand the words!! I could not understand OZZie, no southren drawl. I played some of your samples on the web site, Led Zepplin in 3/4 time, man this is way cool. Keep it up. Educate the rest of the world. Play it with the soul of the roots. Ya'll are my new hero's, no you won't go to hell!!
See ya, Dave

ENJOYED YOUR SHOW AT CYC THIS PAST WEEKEND. LOOKING
FORWARD TO SEEING AND HEARING YOU PERFORM AGAIN.
Enjoyed performance at CYC...joe
Hey I first heard yall at CYC this year and thought
yall were awesome. I bought the Black and Bluegrass CD and its great. I love
bluegrass and so it was right up my ally. And with the previous guys comment I
have to agree I was thankful Brad Montague didnt sing. Yall was a lot better.
Keep on keepin it real.
I happened to be at CYC this year. I thouroly enjoyed
the concert on Friday night. Brooke McCafferty said something about knowing you.
She is dating a real good friend of mine. I bought one your CDs and so far I am
enjoying it. Thank goodness Brad Montague didnt sing.
I love your Fade to Bluegrass album. Heres why. You
identified the talent that metalheads have always sworn is there, seperated it
from its original harsh exterior, and put it into a form that everyone can
understand. That is so incredibly cool. When I was a teenager, I was a rabid
metallica fan. My dad was into bluegrass. We used to go on roadtrips together,
and we would take turns on tapes. I always hoped that he would notice that
behind the screaming guitars there was talent. I cant wait to show this to him
and give him the "Ill give you 3 guesses of who wrote this!".
